		Hi Ellen, I finished the first block and wanted to show you. I loved the idea of making it in applique though this is my first attempt at applique. I remade the snowman three times before I was satisfied but I'm happy with the way it turned out. My borders are a little different from the pattern sizes and I used a preprinted scrappy border. Thank you for such a nice pattern. I'm so anxious to see what comes next! I appreciate your generosity in sharing this BOM. Best wishes, Karen

		Hoi Ellen, Zo is mijn blok geworden. Het is mijn allereerste BOM blok die ik maak, allereerste quilt-BOM waar ik aan mee doe en ook voor het eerst met freezer paper gewerkt. Alles in deze quilt doe ik eigenlijk voor het eerst :o) Het was een gepriegel, maar het is wel gelukt :o) Ik vind het erg leuk om te doen en ben heel erg benieuwd naar het volgende blok. Bedankt voor deze leuke BOM die ook voor beginnelingen geschikt is. Ik denk dat elk blok zijn eigen rand gaat krijgen en dat ik ertussen banen doe ik dezelfde kleur. Maar gelukkig duurt het nog een jaar om daarover na te denken :o) Eerst maar eens alle blokken maken, hopelijk blijven ze een beetje eenvoudig LOL. Groetjes Lintine

		Hallo Ellen, Omdat ik niet kon kiezen heb ik beide versies gemaakt.Een voor thuis en een voor op mijn werk (babygroep van een kinderdagverblijf) Ik hoop dat ik het hele jaar vol kan houden maar met van die leuke patroontjes is het niet zo moeilijk. Dankje wel!

	The snowman's arms do not show up that well on camera but show up just fine off camera. I made two in case I want to keep one, and I did not want to go and buy fabric for it. I have lots of fabric in these colourways that would work for the entire quilt. Now I did not finish the blocks off yet as I want to wait and see what the next month will bring. I like to plan my scraps...but I set aside the fabric for the border of this block. ...and thankyou for taking the time to do a BOM for free!!. I have never done one before. Jocey
	I'm anxious to see the next month and when I'll have more time, I'll embroide also your Calendar, it will be pleasant to have the two versions. I just have changed for the word in dutch because my daughter learnt during three years this language with a friend of us from Veere... Netherlands! Martine from France
	This is my block I finished today. My daughter saw the Jan. block done as a mini quilt at a quilt guild meeting she went to last night. Tudy
	I figure if i do three a month, then perhaps i can keep one, and have two extras for Christmas gifts...but we shall see how determined i am :) They are tiny, so the work goes pretty quickly. I havent embroidered the "January" strips yet, but im waiting to sew it all together so i have enough to put into an embroidery hoop.
	I'm new to applique and embroidery, so im not sure my stitches are the best, but thats one of the reasons i decided to take on your BOM challenge! a great way to get in practice in and a deadline (sort of :) that i can stick to! oh, and thanks for putting together such a cute block....I look forward to following along each month! cheers~ lisajo
	This quilt is a combination of the calendar quilt and the quilt from Ellie's site. I will be adding the strips to the side of the embroidered block. Can't wait for the February block. Have a great day and keep designing great designs. Carrie P
